MaryLisa & Dave // Seraphim House Magical Elopement

These two cutie snuck off to New Orleans to elope at dreamy Seraphim House. When MaryLisa reached out to Cassandra at Crescent Bound Events, she wanted us to know that she was very shy. When your couples fly in from all over, you never know what to expect until you finally get to meet face to face. It takes a special kind of person to be able to make strangers feel comfortable and I think that’s part of what makes my work stand out.

From the very first moments with MaryLisa’s her joy and laughter were contagious. She was absolutely glowing! She’s the kind of person who leaves the world a better place because of the way she interacts in it. Her joy lit me up, and gave me energy on a day when I could really use a little boost.

When I asked Dave to tell me one of his favorite things about MaryLisa he said “She makes me laugh. She makes the world laugh…” and then she proceeded to do just that for the remainder of our time together.

After the short and sweet ceremony and signing the papers that make it all super real, we played some sweet, dreamy jazz music so MaryLisa and Dave could have their first dance as a married couple. It was the kind of slow song that makes you want to hold someone you love really really close and not let go. The kind of song that transports you back in time and lets the rest of the world fade away.

After the dance, which ended in laughter, we explored the venue to capture a few more pictures.

What’s one thing we love down here? Yep, our drinks! So after our photo adventure it was time for some champagne and a cold beer.

MaryLisa and Dave share a sweet moment together.
